I think it was during the playoffs last year, i could be remembering wrong, that Brees needed a yard or two about 3 times during the final drive of the game, and Jed Collins pushed him from behind to get the yards each time. I know it was Brees who has an extraordinary skill set (and a great oline), but i remember thinking about JC when i was watching that drive; for a QB who employs the sneak, JC would work well.

Some teams still do. I think JC still learning the position hurts him. His overwhelming size and strength are somewhat negated by his lack of natural instincts. He blows someone up on every play, it just isn't always the right guy.

edit: nm, I see that Jed Collins has 300+ snap counts for the saints last year. I would have lost that bet, didn't realize Saints used FB that much.

I still don't know why LSU didn't move him to NT last year and play Neighbors more.

They plugged Austin Johnson in place of Lorig and he scored the first TD of the preseason from Brees on Sat, so i don't see the Saints bringing in JC.
