Same format as last year. GOOD, BAD, CRAZY: One player for each position

Here is the link to the 2013 thread: 2013 Bold Prediction

GOOD:

QB-Tony Romo finishes in top 5 QBs: New OC + shitty DEF = huge year. Throws for over 4,500 yds and 35 TDs.

RB- Ben Tate cracks top 10. Must stay healthy, but he's looked great in the preseason. 1200 yds rushing, 50 receptions and double digit TDs.

WR- Mike Wallace top 20 year. Man, i've missed him in every draft so far. Love Miami's new offense and Wallace will be the main beneficiary. 85 catches, 1100 yards, and 8 TDs.

TE- Greg Olsen top 5. Somoene has to catch the ball in Carolina. 85 catches on 130 targets, 900 yds, 9 TDs for Olsen.

BAD:

QB: Cam would be too easy. So I'm going say to Matt Stafford doesn't finish in the top 10. Caldwell loves the run and I'm off the camp Stafford's numbers have been driven by quantity, not quality.

RB: I'm really down on the older guys like Foster, Lynch, and Gore. My big bust is Zac Stacy. 6 of his 7 TDs came from inside the 5 yrd line last year. Rams will be a mess this year in that division.

WR: Washington WRs: RGIII has looked like hot garbage so far. Garcon had 184 targets last year, and scored 182 points on short routes last year. Djax plus Reed will cut into his targets big time. Desean Jackson--had 82 receptions in the perfect offense for his skill set. I see him struggling for 60 receptions and 7 TDs.

TE: Jordan Cameron is not TE1 worthy. He'll miss Norv Turner and Chudzinski a lot. He only had 31 catches and 1 TD in entire 2nd half, that'll continue into 2014.

CRAZY:

QB- Kaepernick goes HAM. Finally has the weapons and I thin their running game (Gore) will struggle. Take away his rough start last year, he was a top 5 QB. 4,000 passing yards, 700 running yards, 32 total TDs.

RB- Eddie Lacy has more receptions than McCoy and Charles and finishes as #1 player in fantasy. He beasted last year with Rodgers and Cobb out..Imagine the numbers this year with the defense spread out.

WR- One of the vets--Fitz, Roddy, or AJ80 challenge for the #1 overall WR spot.

TE- Antonio Gates top 5 TE. finished last year 3rd in yards and targets, and 4th in catches. I think Green gettin attention will open up the other side for Gates alot.

Justin Hunter finishes as the No. 12 WR in fantasy, top-20 in PPR

Gio Bernard finishes as a top-8 back, top-5 in PPR

Eddie Lacy finishes as a top-3 back in standard and PPR

Torrey Smith finishes as a top-15 WR in all formats

Russell Wilson finishes as a top-6 QB in standard scoring.

I like all those except Torrey Smith. At this point, he is who he is.

agree with you on wallace, you can get a great ROI on him this year.

I disagree on Tate, I don't trust him to stay healthy and that offense is going to suuuuuck.

Mine:
1. Forte finishes as #1 PPR back
2. Monte Ball finishes higher than Lacy in PPR.
3. Foles is being wayyyy overdrafted based on last year's numbers. Those numbers aren't repeatable (duh)and I'm not sure I'm a big fan in general.
4. I don't quite believe I'm saying this, but hop on the Mark Ingram bandwagon while you can. I don't think he's going to ball out, could be capable of RB2 numbers and you're able to draft him late as shite. Great value.

I'll have some more later, this just off the top of my head

GOOD: (PPR)

Matt Ryan = top 5 QB

Montee Ball = top 3 RB, write it down

Larry Fitz = top 10 WR, Michael Floyd lol

Kyle Rudolph = pencil me in for 10 TDs and 800 yards

BAD:

Nick Foles = I just aint that good

Gio Bernard, Leveon Bell, Zac Stacy = our rookie numbers are deceiving and we aren't as good as you think. Regress city, population 3

Pierre Garcon = watch my targets and production trend down while Desean steals my balls

Julius Thomas = i won't catch 10+ TDs again and my receptions and yardage are barely top 10 worthy among TEs.

CRAZY:

Geno Smith = I become a startable QB

Lamar Miller = this is my year, welcome to RB1 territory

Brian Quick = I'm 6'4" 220 watch Shaun Hill feed me the rock and make me a top 20 WR

Rob Housler = remember me? watch me crack the top 10 TEs

Romo is not projected in the top 8 and I said top 5

Hyde is not a starter and I said top 20

Decker- meh, not very bold I guess, but his ADP says otherwise

I didn't think these were that bold, but not sure if they are call out worthy.

I was agreeing that they were bold calls. Not calling you out in any sort of negative way.

I'm high on him this year, too. I was shooting for him in my draft last night but couldn't pass up Julius Thomas in the third.

Gotcha. All good

Yeah in my 2 leagues I have Rudolph on one and J Thomas on the other. I actually feel opposite. I hate Rudolph (prior fantasy sour grapes) and love Thomas. I almost put a bold that he finishes ahead of Jimmy but as a Saints homer I couldn't bring myself to it

GOOD

QB: Tom Brady is a top 5 overall player. Is that really bold? Well he was the 12th rated QB last year, & 23rd overall. 4800 yards and 40 TDs

RB: Trent Richardson runs for 1,200 yards and 10TDs. Catches 40 balls too!! His 2nd year in his offense will benefit him, as well as a strong passing game.

WR: Doug Baldwin catches 90 balls. Will they throw a lot? Probably not. But who else is gonna catch passes with Golden TAte gone, and Percy Harvin hurt?

TE: Ryan Griffin in HOU emerges onto the scene. 65 catches, 750 yards, 9 TDs.

BAD:

QB: RG3 losses his job eventually to Kurt Cousins. Or he gets hurt.

RB: Giovanni Bernard has trouble in the run game. Still catches balls, but is more of a Flex player than RB1. Jeremy Hill takes over.

WR: Pierre Garcon's numbers plummet. from 113 balls, to 75ish. 1400 yards to right around 1000.

TE: Jimmy Graham. He's still a stud, but in the end not worthy of a 1st round pick. His TDs closer to 10, then 16 from a year ago.

Crazy

QB: Shaun Hill! who woulda thought! Does his best Kurt Warner impression, & throws 30TD passes, making Kenny Britt a star in the process.

RB: Travis Cadet catches 60 balls for the Saints, making him a viable top 20 RB

WR: Golden Tate top 3 in the NFL in receptions in DET's high powered passing attack, opposite of CJ

TE: Levine Toililo hits double digit TD catches for ATL.

To piggy back on one of LE's, I think Kearse catches the most passes in SEA this year

not getting all of the gio hate from the twin towers

I can see arguing Lacy and Bell are products of volume and I agree.

I don't think that's the case with Gio, I remember the same things being said of rice a few years ago.

While on the subject of Ray Rice. I was driving the bandwagon against him last year, much to to chagrin of the twin towers. I think he bounces back this year with a strong season

Nice calls on Baldwin and Griffin (HOU).

I think Bradshaw is the back to own in Indy. T-Rich hasn't shown a thing in the preseason.

I just have him in that same category as Vereen, Sproles. The numbers will be there in PPR with the receptions, but without the ground work, he isn't a RB1 or a $35+ value in auction leagues to me.

Like I quoted in the other thread, BJGE got 225 carries, which is ridiculous because he sucks. Hill is going to emerge quickly in CIN, i think.

It's more about Jeremy Hill being the prototypical every down back. Bernard more of a 3rd down back.

He's struggled running the ball this preseason, and wasn't great last year in that role either.

I think at the least Hill will see goaline carries. But i think as the season goes on, he'll get a lot of work in between the 20's too.
