Suggestions needed for jury duty rejection

OK, one of my golfing buddies is going into jury selection tomorrow. He really wants to be rejected but he doesn't know what to do. No one is gonna accept "I really want to play golf every day."
I came up with one comment he could make during voir dire... "I don't think anyone would be arrested unless they were guilty. So, I'm sure the defendant is guilty regardless of whatever evidence is presented."
Any other ideas? TIA.

He should be honored to serve on a jury. If good people don't serve on juries, then our justice system is worthless and we (and your friend) deserve what we get.

I hope the judge calls him on his bullshite and holds him in contempt. It is downright contemptible to shirk a civic duty for the sake of selfishness.

"I've heard about this and I think he's guilty and deserves the chair".
You're welcome.
You're welcome.

It's not Zach who has been called for jury duty.

My wife got out of jury duty both times she was called.
Her: "I work night shift in the lab of the biggest hospital in town. There is no replacement for me. If I don't show up patients will die."
Judge: "You are excused."

Criminal depends on the case.
I actually do wish I'd be on a jury, but I've only ever gotten called for civil and apparently attorneys don't like insurance agents.

When they ask about his ability to form an "unbiased" opinion, he simply tells them that such a thing does not exist. By their very nature, opinions require a bias. We call the other indisputable "concrete" things, facts.

I'd actually like to serve at least once. The only time I was ever called was right during the middle of finals in grad school. They told me I would be rescheduled, and I was, but by then I no longer resided in the parish and was ineligible to serve.

True story. A black businessman in Shreveport was called to jury duty and didn't want to do it. He knew that the defendant was black.
"I believe that 200 years of oppression by white people excuses black people from any crimes. Therefore, I cannot bring myself to vote guilty in any case regarding a black defendant."
He was excused.

And the judge should have fined him for contempt. No one really believes that shite.

I worked on a trial in which a guy got out by putting on his questionnaire that if a person is wearing a hoodie he is probably guilty.

I was summoned for jury duty about a month ago during a really bad time for me with so much going on at work.
I went to the courthouse and when we were given a chance to plead hardship, I was honest and said it wasn't a good time for me or my staff for me to be gone for a week. They were more than accomodating and re-scheduled me for January.
Honesty was the best policy, unike the guy in front of me who told them he was on "mind altering medication" and they told him to mail a prescription to them by Thursday. He was laughing about it to me as we walked out the courthouse.
And another guy intentionally wore shorts thinking they would cut him for that. They were pissed and ordered him to go home and change and return. Even had a cop escort him out. shite got real.

Don't know but there is a really big case coming up in Shreveport regarding a fire station that had 2 mentally retarded adult males who hung out there for something like 20 years.
The firemen hired a hooker to have sex with the 2 males just for shits and giggles. The firemen have been charged with 'abusing the handicapped.' This might very well be the case because the trial is supposed to begin this week and jury selection for it is going on.
