Anyone have the Sonos Playbar/Sub?

I'm in the process of moving to a new house and want to get a new home theatre system. Right now I have an Onkyo reciever/5.1 system, but it's about 10 years old and reciever doesn't have HDMI ports or anything. Also, for some reason, whenever there is a loud explosion or anything the whole reciever shuts off.
My buddy works for Sonos so I can get a pretty decent discount. Thinking of putting a Playbar and sub up front, and two Play:1's in the back. This way I don't have to worry about running any wires and I can control everything from my phone.
Anyone have any experience with this set up?
Also semi-unrelated, why does my reciever keep shutting off ?

my rich arse uncle in nyc has a playbar with sub and 2 play5s as satellite speakers, plus a play 5 in each room. it's retarded how good it sounds. it has it's own little router and the app to control everything is very easy and efficient. will be getting this setup down the road

Yea my father in law has a Sonos system in his house, but just the individual speakers for music. The UI is awesome for when we are all outside. Everyone can control the music.
Was Curious if the Playbar/sub/1s make a good home theatre though. Thanks for the feedback
Will be adding a Play 3 for the kitchen, 5 for the living room, and 1 for the bedroom next month. (Buddy can only order so much
per month haha)
ETA: holy shite, play 5s as satellites! My neighbors would hate me.

I've got a play1 that I bring outside in the front when the kids are out playing. Sounds pretty good. Otherwise I run my sonos through built in speakers throughout the house. I'm a big fan of the sonos system

I helped some family install just the setup you described at their beach condo. It sounds amazing, and I wouldn't hesitate for one second to buy that setup. And actually, they don't even have the sub yet. It still sounds awesome with just the bar and the play 1 speakers.
I just bought one play 1 for a small room in my house (to go with my other Connects) I can't believe how well that little speaker sounds.
If you search my name and sonos, there was a thread I had info in a while back on my set up. I would suggest any portion of their system to anyone, and have been very pleased with the quality of the devices and the app.

What inputs do the sonos have to get the audio from the tv?

I've got the Play bar and it's great. I don't have room to do satellite speakers. Also, they said they are stopping production on the sub so get one while supplies last. I don't think I'm gonna get one though.

Pretty sure it just has an optical in, but I can play anything from the device it is connected to. Read the site for more info.

I have the Playbar and sub. Absolutely no regrets. Sounds fantastic....
....I imagine adding even more speakers, like you plan on doing, will be something you will enjoy.
