Tow straps, ratchets, tools, fluids, duct tape, electric tape, extra pair of boots, rope, fix a flat, rc134. ..

What else you got? I just purchased my first truck and added a tool box today, need suggestions.

Good pair of gloves is paramount.

Also, slip in a few extra beer huggies, decent socket set (standard and metric), flash light, jumper cables, bolt cutters, battery operated four piece kit consisting of drill, saw zall, grinder, and skill saw, trash bags, and toilet paper.

man, don't worry about what to put in your tool box, as it will be full before you know it...

I've noticed.

Every time I walk in to another room or to the shed I find something else to throw in there. I just grabbed a pair of leather and mechanics gloves along with a big can of zip ties I had lying around.

I don't have a tool box because like 90% of the those who own them, I don't have a need for it. I would use it maybe 4 times a year and it doesn't make fuel economy sense to carry an extra 200lbs worth of shite. Nor do I need my bed shorter for no reason.

All of the shite I need is in my cab. shite to change my tires, straps and tie downs, and tow straps to pull your heavy asses out of the ditch cause you're too loaded down

Thanks! 2006 gmc sierra slt

The brakes on my old work car went bad and it cost too much to replace so I decided to go ahead and find the truck I always wanted. I just sold my toy, a 1998 tj, so the timing was bad for the car to take a shite on me.

Made five stops at dealerships when I came across this truck. It had been on the lot for less than an hour. They didn't even have the keys or any information on it. It was the exact truck I was looking for, I was extremely lucky to find one so easily.

how often have you had to pull a truck from a ditch because they had too much weight in the bed?

When I used to go mudding we intentionally added weight to the bed of the truck. Think about it.

Tons of shite.

Lots of tow straps, lots of tools, lots of chainsaw stuff, wiring stuff, general things like ratchet straps, pb blaster, electric tape, etc

All impeccably organized in milk crates, trays, and tool bags

Can't have a truck without a toolbox. I use the hell out of it.

No toolbox now. May get one one day.

I would put
jumper cables
Decent jack
Chains of various length
Basic tool set
4x4 blocks or assorted sizes

If anyone can figure out how to keep crap in an aluminum toolbox from getting coated in never seize let me know.

Rubber mat in the bottom.

I had cardboard in my old one and that worked well. The thick rubber is better though.

Let's put it this way, my buddies ask me if I'm bringing my truck and if I am they let their wives bring them in their girly autos to the camp.

In the back of the van I keep gloves, rope, tarp, and duct tape.
