ehhh, it's just the ending. im talking about a final level or some shite that is just so awful that it changes your opinion of the game

The final mission in the new XCOM games was pretty lame. Not in the sense that it made me rethink the whole game, but it was easy and predictable.

That's what I'm talking about. I don't care how bad you think Xen was, there is no way it took away from the game as a whole or my opinion of it.

If I enjoyed the game, there's not much the ending can do to ruin that. I'm almost used to it by now. Skyrim pretty much had no ending, but I still love it.

ok. i obviously still loved half life, but, god, xen was awful. i havent seen anyone post a positive thing about it, and theyre completely changing it for Black Mesa: Source

This. I didn't realize people hated the ending until I listened to a podcast a week or two after I beat that had people bitching about it.
I've played through all 3 of the quite a few times.
