British Special Forces hunting the killer of James Foley are using an array of sophisticated equipment to track him down – and possibly free other hostages being held.
The Mail on Sunday has been given a detailed account of how elite troops from the SAS and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) are conducting high-tech operations inside Syria and Iraq, which could lead to the capture of the extremists within days.
It emerged as reports suggested that British intelligence services had identified the true identity of the terrorist who beheaded Mr Foley – as seen in a video which shocked the world - known as 'Jihadi John'.
The Mail on Sunday has been told that in the past 48 hours a ‘significant force’ of SAS soldiers and signallers have deployed to northern Iraq, joining Iraqi and Kurdish units fighting IS.
They have separated into four-man teams and are accompanying local troops in an attempt to capture British jihadis, identify them and establish links to Jihadi John.
A key suspect is 23-year-old Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, who until a year ago lived with his family in their £1m home in the affluent London area of Maida Vale, but recently appeared on social media grasping a severed head, an anonymous government source told The Sunday Times.

SAS are some bad arse motherfrickers, I hope they catch this guy alive and bring him back to the UK to be tried, and hopefully executed.

Isn't The Mail a tabloid? Who knows maybe intelligence hasn't gathered anything & want to get them moving .

Perhaps they can find a good spot for his head on London Bridge. LINK

No death penalty in the UK, I think.

I think so. The Beatle's 'Paperback Writer' is on my ipod and it has a line on 'working for the Daily Mail.' I know it's an old song but it has a good tempo for throwing iron.

Maybe they'll send him here since Foley was American?
Not sure, I'm no expert on UK legal practices.
I just hope he's caught alive, and tried and prosecuted the correct way, before they kill this son of bitch.

A fair trial, and a quick hanging

Every day this guy lives is probably the worst kind of hell for him. He likely knows any day is his last, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's given up/capped by his own little amigos once things start getting really hot.

Why do they have to capture him? Why not just sneak into his tent at night and put a bullet in his brain?

The Sunday Times reports that Bary is the key focus of the man hunt. He is one of the British jihadists former hostages referred to as the Beatles because of their British accents. The two others were called "George" and "Ringo".

I'd force feed him a ham sammitch and then fasten him to a hurdle, drag him to the place of execution, hang him (almost to the point of death), emasculate, disembowel, behead and quarter(chopped into four pieces) him. I'd then bury him in a pig carcass and head back to jolly old England humming "No virgins for you Johnny Boy"

Because we are supposed to be better than the terrorists?

Be better if we got him. Our cousins don't practice capital punishment and won't formally extradite someone facing the death penalty. Perhaps a discreet extrajudicial handover can be arranged for that piece of shite.

I like what Dennis Miller said on this subject...
"Some people say if we sink to their level, the terrorists win. OK, they win. But some of their boys won't be at the trophy ceremony"
