Football rules change suggestion: No offensive holding

With the, "there is offensive holding ever play" notion.....
Allow offensive holding within a certain area around the line of scrimmage, basically what is referred to as "the box"
but
allow the defense to have 12 players
Who would have the advantage?

I can only imagine that this would increase knee injuries substantially, because offensive linemen would constantly be pulling down defensive linemen as they try to run past them.

The University of Alabama already play by those rules (the holding is legal part)
