Just when you thought things could not get anymore insane... here we go.

You want to know why you are going to lose your right to guns? Because people like this are becoming more and more the norm.

LINK

quote:

The internet has turned against SeaWorld. "Blackfish," The Oceanic Preservation Society, The Dodo, over 100,000 users on Change.org and many other sites have made it their business to actively campaign against SeaWorld's mistreatment of animals. SeaWorld can't survive that, plain and simple.

Here is a quote from that link:

quote:

There is no debate necessary. Wild animals do not belong in captivity for any other reason than to make a sick or injured animal well. They should especially not be held for the purposes of filling one’s bank account.

quote:

They have grossly abused animals, lied to and misled the public, wrongly blamed an innocent trainer who died because of their irresponsibility, and now they continue to try and cover up facts by making false claims against anyone who seeks and brings out the truth. They are a disgrace.Orcas are not meant to be rode on and do tricks for profit. They are teaching nothing about the true nature of orcas. All they do is exploit mammals and lie to the public and they should not only be closed for good, but the ones responsible for this outrage should be incarcerated in prison and serve time. The true facts do NOT nor ever did come fromSeaWorld, but from the makers of the film. The jackass “dog trainer” that SeaWorld used as one of their spokespersons,Jack hannah,is nothing short of a complete unqualified JOKE.He know dogs, not orcas. The public WILL see the movie and be convinced by the truth on film, and they are not fooled by SeaWorld’s pathetic little disclaimer, because they are not as stupid as SeaWorld insultingly makes them out to be.

These are the same people moving this country.

What they don't want to say is how much Sea World has done for conservation and research.

quote:

https://www.insideconservation.com/seaworld-pledges-assistance-animals-affected-oil-spill

quote:

Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, parent company of SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove, have pledged their expertise, facilities, manpower and resources to aid animals affected by the devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

quote:

SeaWorld and HSWRI have been active in oil spill response for many years. The San Diego-based non-profit research foundation pioneered techniques for cleaning birds, reptiles and mammals exposed to crude oil, and treating illness and injury associated with crude oil exposure.

Exactly what happened to their stock as of late? It's lost about half it's value.

Insane is you equating this with "losing your rights to guns".

so you think it's bad that the market is deciding?

Holding whales in pens means that much to you?

I don't care one way or another but people are free to decide things on their own.

ETA: engaging with darkhorse.

Yep, but they still made the impact. Now, hunting is also considered conservation. At some point, like on all other issues that these people are behind, we will lose rights to own guns.

And here's the kicker. If this board is still around, it will be full of the new "millennials" who will stand up and say you and I were just wrong, that we did not know any better. That we are just from another time and need educating.

Hmmm, this is exactly what Global Warming folks preface their assertions with.

No, I think it's bad when we have the PC controlling the message. They have an agenda, they have to lie to get people to it because other wise, they won't agree. If you have to lie... everything you stand for is fake.

I don't equate holding whales in holding tanks as evil.

Boycotts of a business by people who wouldn't spend money at that business are not "letting the market decide"

There was an anti fracking movie made not too long ago. You know what? Someone came along and made a movie with an opposing view. Brilliant! And we still have our guns!

And every day we come closer and closer to NOT having them. Sorry you don't get the point.

Sorry your thread is a paranoid reach and a failure. People can disagree with the ethics of certain industries. They can even make movies about it. Save the whales is in no way related to repeal the 2nd amendment. Except in the minds of the paranoid.

You should make a pro-Sea World documentary that will undoubtedly be looked at by future historians as the only thing that stopped the global spread of communism.

One doesn't have to be an anti-gun liberal to have a healthy respect for living things.

And, frick you if you support it.

While I agree completely with you, a lot of the natural habitat is being destroyed by humans. Zoos and the like are going to be the ONLY chances to save a lot of species from going extinct in the very near future.
