Haven't been able to take a vacation this year so looking to take the family somewhere over Labor Day weekend. Never been to Branson. Have 4 kids ranging from 18 months to 11 years. Good idea or biggest mistake of my life?

I was in Branson mid-summer and it was crowded. We just adjusted our times for it.

I'd think Labor Day weekend would be pretty packed though.

Unless you're using Branson as a launching point from which to visit Table Rock, I would not go. But that's just me.

My brother and his family go a few times a year. His in-laws have a timeshare there. He has a 4yo and a 5 month old. Not sure if they've been since the new baby was born. But they love it and have a good time up there. I've personally never been.

My grandparents retired and moved up there about 20 years ago, so I've been there probably 2-3 times a year every year since then.

Right now, it's hot and crowded.. But theres plenty to do. Stay away from the strip as much as possible, go to Silver Dollar City and table rock Lake.

I can answer pretty much any question you could possibly have about the area.

If you are an outdoors guy, stay at Big Cedar lodge and just commute to Branson, Joplin I heard is picking up after the twisters ripped it apart
