Directv is losing the CBS channel in the Shreveport area. I really like the NFL package. I will not miss any LSU games. I guess I will be switching to a cable provider.

if you haven't learned by now that DirecTV is the hardest bargainer you never really paid attention the channel will be on it may be off a couple days you will not miss one LSU game

We are there because my wife is station at Barksdale. We used be in ND. I am closer to home now. I am from West Bank area.

If they haven't negotiated by football season, just go buy a 50 dollar antenna. Works fine in HD. I also heard direct TVs contract with the NFL package expires next year, so no telling what's gonna happen with that.

As the others say, DTV is just haggling over cost with CBS...they will work it out...
however, I have had a number of different cable and sattelite providers and frankly, there is not much difference between them...if DTV cannot work something out with CBS, I wouldn't hesitate to drop their arse....

Do you have any recommendations for an antenna? I have tried several times to get CBS over the air on campus while tailgating, but with no luck.
If they don't get their dispute solved by this Saturday, I would like to have a backup plan.
