Why does FOX/NBC local news station suck so bad?

Their 6:30 broadcast is a joke. I see it on at the gym a lot. It seems like they are always going back the weather douche and I've never seen a sportscast. And why is Jeanne Burns on their? Seems as though she's past her prime. The others are just random and odd looking people.
Does anyone else think it's terrible?

Fox BR has always been really bad. Like nationally top 5 bad.
WVLA is just random current br event promos some elitest community social groups use to allow themselves to be interviewed.
Fox Saturday break ins were laughable as a kid. "We're here at fun fair park and there are snow cones. Bring your kids! Have a good day!"

Why do they do weather for literally half the broadcast? They also do traffic reports on a 6:30 broadcast

Channel 33/NBC has been terrible since the 1970s when the anchor was Anne L'Heureux.

Saw it again at the gym tonight. I swear I only see weather and traffic. They show those two things more than you see it on morning news shows.
Do they even have a structure for the way they lay out their broadcast?
