Just curious....did we recruit this guy ? He looked pretty good at times against us last year and he is from Haughton.

We offered him very late but he stuck with MSU.
Keep in mind at the time we had Zach Mettenberger coming in as a sophomore and was considered the future while Jerrard Randle was a 4-star freshman commit as well.
Dak was the only MSU QB commit for that year.

Came to a camp before his senior year and competed with Stephen Rivers for an offer. Rivers got the offer, Dak committed to Miss St and had a monster senior year. LSU offered real late and Dak stuck with Miss St

We were going after 3 other out-of-state stars and I don't remember him as a high target. Mett was coming if his court date got cancelled or something like that, that Randle guy that left, and someone else that went to Florida State last minute. He got offered very late, but went to State. I think he thought he would play early. That's what Tiger Rag said.

We didn't really pursue him until late in the process.

We were on quite a few qbs that class. Offered late, stuck to his commitment. Have total respect for him.

agreed...I hear a lot of shite about it from my mississippi coworkers, but he did the right thing...
