X box advice

my son is turning eleven next weekend and has asked for an x box 360 for his birthday.
I have no clue about the different systems and see that they have a 4gb and a 250gb. He mainly wants it for minecraft.
Any advice on what to get and any accessories I should be including?

buy him a xbox one. xbox 360 is cheap but just too damn old.

Buying him an Xbox 360 now is like buying a VCR when DVD players were released.
Buy him a Xbox One. It's the new version that was just released.
Yes, it's more expensive, but it's dumb to buy the outdated version simply because it's cheaper.

Don't get the 4gb one. It's a waste of money, imo. You'll get maybe 2.4gbs of usable storage space that will be filled up in the first month.

Buy him a PS4, Minecraft is about to come out for it.
But if you want to get him a 360 there was a deal for a 250gig for $99 on slickdeals.

Didn't they fix that problem like 7-8 years ago. A 360 bought in 2014 isn't going to RRoD.

Was just saying if he buys him the Xbox One Minecraft isn't hitting until 2015, it's about to hit PS4 most likely in September.
And you told him to go with the One, how's he going to play Minecraft on that?

I'm just going off what 4J has been doing and saying, they are currently trying to get the PS4 version out and then the Xbox One version after that. Considering there has been no news lately about the Xbox One version I wouldn't say it's "almost" here.
But like I said after the PS4 version is out that will be their top priority.
