Why do the new jumbotrons run all day?

Better to get any potential problems out of the way now rather than during the home opener.

I understand that, but we're talking for two or three weeks every time I look they've been on. Usually afternoon and into the evening.

Oh well. Guess they know something I don't. Looks like the LSU budget cuts aren't bothering them as bad either.

As of 2013, the most up to date budget numbers I could find LSU is one of only a handful of public college athletic departments that does not recieve state funding. They are part of the following short list of universities:
LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Purdue and Texas

So unless you can prove otherwise I suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself.
