I know lolbassnectar, but that Bassnectar show in there a few years ago was pretty ridiculous

Definitely the most fun I've had at a Varsity show

Edwin McCain

Seriously, though. I can't name a favorite. Seen so many good ones.

That's what my vote goes to as well.

09 Bassnectar before it really went mainstream, this freshman n00b was on the rail candyflipping actin a fool.

We probably bumped into eachother there and never knew

That was an example of the Varsity having a crowd way too big for that venue

I was fine with it. Felt like they were playing just for us and I think they could tell that even though there wasn't much of a crowd, everyone that was there was really digging it.

I've seen several good shows there.
Cage the Elephant
Switchfoot
Hawthorne Heights
Robert Randolph
Jet

Jet was probably the best of those because the opening act, Crash Kings, was also awesome. Switchfoot was a close second (actually saw two shows of theirs there). Hawthorne Heights was waaaaaay more fun than I expected. Cage the Elephant played way too short of a set.

1991 LSU @ UGA showing on a big screen. Wait, that sucked big time watching that game.

Gotta go with Gatemouth Brown with his full swing band. I think that was '98.

I'm pretty sure I had a good time at that 311 show in '94 from what I remember.

I saw No Doubt open up for Public Enemy there in 92. Chuck D was griping from the stage that they told him the Varsity was close to Southern University.

Saw Blind Melon there in 92. It was a $5 show.

Dinosaur Jr. were there a few years ago. That was a good show.

I'm bummed about missing the Arctic Monkeys last fall. But we had people over for the Mississippi State game and I spent the whole day drinking and cooking, so I was in no condition to see a band.
