On their 8-year-old son's first day of school, the bus driver dropped him off 3 miles away from his house, and a stranger ended up brought him home.

But the school says that the child should have known his address.
"I told him he drove right by my house three times but he made me get off," said Noah Hoofman, the third grade student.

In response to the incident, the District's Superintendent Carl Easley said, "Only one child did not get delivered to the right address. The counselors go around on the first day of school to confirm each child's address, but the parents should teach their kids their address. Every child should know their address by the third grade."

If a parent did that, they would be arrested.

an 8 year old knows where he lives.
maybe he was busy playing on his iphone and didn't realize they passed up his house.
