Just got extreme praise from a guest on Cowherd for the throw to Hunter against the Saints. Cosell said if you look at the tape, when Mettenberger started his throwing motion, Hunter wasn't open. Praised the throw and the tremendous anticipation and vision. Said Mettenberger had all the looks of a good NFL quarterback. More upside than Locker though probably not ready to supplant him yet.

Then Cowherd offered praise when comparing Mett to Manziel in college.

Great to see Mett bouncing back from the knee and adjusting well to the pros so far.

Just heard that. Mett will be a household name by the end of the year.

I just want to remind everyone that I said (before the draft started) Mett was going to be the best quarterback in that draft.

The Titans message boards agree.

They want Mett. Said that locker makes every throw look difficult and Mett makes it look easy.

I think Mett will be a very, very good QB in a few years. I really wish the Texans could have picked him up. He's going to be a handful for the AFC South for the next 10+ years.

Don't count out Murray. But yeah, I think those two's skills translate much better to the NFL. I was surprised how far both of them fell in the draft.

Yep. The wife & I are vacationing in Southeast Asia.
Zach's name really started to pick up some steam yesterday in some of the Malaysian communities we visited.

Same guy also had Mett as #2 on his draft board behind Bortles

Forget his name but Colin really respects his opinion.

Probably Charley Casserly.

Pick Analysis: "Whether it's a medical issue or the diluted sample in Indianapolis, there's a reason why this guy with second-round talent is going in the sixth round. That's immaterial now. Jake Locker has been unsuccessful there. (New head coach) Ken Whisenhunt is inheriting him. He will have less patience with Locker if he struggles. Locker is on a one-year contract that might not be all 16 games. Mettenberger can make all the throws. He has a world of talent and has been in a pro system under Cam Cameron at LSU." -- Charley Casserly

Yup that was him. Apparently, he's a stud in the film room.

According to Titans fans Zach is the first one on the practice field & the last one to leave.

Sounds a bit like Jamarcus in Oakland, right

Mettenberger is third among all quarterbacks (rookies and veterans) with 356 passing yards and is only one of nine with multiple touchdown passes. Likewise, his 105.7 quarterback rating is third overall, and his average of 11.1 yards is by far the league’s best, more than a full yard better than second place Blake Bortles, the first quarterback taken in this year’s draft and the only other rookie among the top 15 in that category.

I still predict that he and Murray will be the best QBs of this draft.

No he won't. He may become a very good player one day but he won't be a "household name" by the end of the year.

Will he ever learn to secure the ball? He's good for one fumble a game. What's his deal with that? Small hands thing?
