Social Services - Pregnant teenager question?

My wife is a school teacher in a not so good area of Chicago (Avalon Park). One of her favorite students is a 9th grader and is due to have her first baby in a couple of weeks about it. Apparently the girl has nowhere to go, any support, and so forth.
My wife is pretty torn up about it. My question to you all is what will happen to the young girl and her baby? I'm asking this because, surprisingly, this is a first for one of her students and quite frankly, I just don't know.

I really don't know the answer to that? Seeing as she's due, I'd assume? Maybe not?

There are plenty of charity and government organizations out there just for this. Especially in Chicago.

If your dumbass wife is a teacher shouldn;t this be a norm for her? Don't all high school teachers send the kids to the advisor or guidance counselor?

If she really wants to help herself? She is a child who is about to have a child and apparently has no support. What sort of hoops should she have to jump through to prove her need in your mind?

She should contact an agency such as Lifetime Adoption. They have counselors and resources to help birth mothers and help her place the child. LINK
