Wasn't that multiple band event like the "Super Bowl of Rock n Roll" or something like that?
My older brothers went to all those.

I'm not sure. I was listening to Journey Radio on Pandora and a live version of a Journey song came on so I googled JOurney Live. Came across the Frontiers Tour. Saw they were in NO. I would have given my left arm to be able to see Journey with Steve Perry back then. Had to be incredible!!!

I wasn't at that show but I've seen them w Steve 4-5 times. My fav memories was early 80's at the rose bowl. Incredible setting that night. I saw them at the Wharf a few years back with the Asian singer. Had to close my eyes to get any pleasure from it.

Jesus, with that lineup in New Orleans, I bet there was a record amount of Scotch Guard getting sniffed that evening.

I was there. The temperature really cooled off when Journey came on the evening. Steve Perry sang his friggin brains out. Zebra had the crowd in a frenzy when they did " Take Your Fingers From My Hair" for their encore. Their debut album had just come out. Lonesome Dave also sang unbelievably for Foghat. Nobody hardly knew Bryan Adams, but as the opener that day, wasn't bad at all. But Seeing STEVE PERRY sing made it one of my top three concerts of all time.

One of the few regrets I have in my life is that I never had the chance to see Steve Perry live!! Fricking unbelievable singer. I don't think he gets his due!!!

I was 15 and went with a 14 year old neighbor, her 21 year old family friend known as an 'uncle',and his friend. The uncle drove us there and was our chaperone. The men got stoned on the way to the concert. Why did my mom allow me to go with them!?

That's all I really remember about this concert. I was 12. The huge cloud of smoke when they turned the lights on & peeing behind a garbage bag that was being held up by my mom & her friend. Wth?!?
