do you know if the game has to be fully exited (press menu button on controller and exit) for the clock to stop or is it 6 hours of actual game playing (not menu browsing or checking out the features)?

I'm pretty sure you have to kill the app basically... I think the menu affects your time.

Graphics are fantastic. game play is much much smoother than any madden I've played. Only complaint is the pre snap system. Not a big fan of the changes. Also I hate the new play book. shite lags and is hard to navigate.

Definitely not good. Just simmed a season. Stafford won MVP with 3900 yards passing and TDs in the high 20s...numbers that blew away everyone else. Rushing was okay at 1400 yards but only 6 backs over 1K. Reggie Bush had 14 TDs with nobody else above 9. Receiving was very similar.
2 guys did hit 24 sacks. Victor Butler led the league with 159 tackles. Other than a freak year with sacks the defensive stats looked okay after a cursory glance.
Sim offense is crap. Rushing is better than passing based on my one season. Passing seems really broke. I don't see how I wouldn't win MVP every year with Brees if I control him.
I didn't do it, but I do like the option to sim 10 years at once. Nice way to reset the league. However I have no idea how the sim will handle that.
Gameplay feels nice. As usual we all need time to really judge it. Graphics are great and the adjustable camera is wonderful. Love zooming way in on dives and way out on kick returns. Some good choices on passing downs based on how you like it. And very easy to switch it around (using D pad).

I did digital with Madden 25 and at times it would lag like. Is there any difference between the two besides obviously having a physical copy?

I've been playing FIFA and madden 25 on digital download via ea access and I have had no problems. I don't plan on waiting outside with felons and mouth breathers to buy madden
