Got a group of about 10-12 guys that want to get together for a bachelor party and are leaning towards going to Toledo Bend. Any body have any suggestions as to where to stay. Pros/Cons. Any possible night life options etc. I have been there several times to fish around toledo town and love it there. Just don't know where to take such a group for a good time. Trip will take place between the months of November-Feb.

Also I am up for other suggestions for a comparable trip.
FYI I am from south LA and they are from Ar-Kansas

TIA

Cypress Bend Resort. Not much night life in the area that I know of. Shreveport is not that far away.

Thought about that but I didn't know how they would take the potential noise we would generate. I like the camp idea because you could cut up outside

Leesville/ New Llano is about 15 mins away. They have a couple stip clubs, and numerous bars. Probably one of the cheaper options, that being said, there are better more expensive options.

How about a night in New Orleans and then drive down to Venice? Or 2 nights in NOLA? there are guide services that pick people up from downtown nola. lots of close options such as Hopedale, Lafitte. The saltwater fishing starts to shut down in December though.

There's also Big Lake which is 20 minutes from Lake Charles and Laberge Dulac. I believe Hackberry rod and gun does some cast and blasts trips(ducks in the morning and trout/reds in the afternoon)

If they want a true LA experience with some nightlife, I think those are better options. If they just want to sit out on a lake and drink, Toledo Bend should suit them fine.

Tranquility bay has big bunkhouse the sleeps 20 or so. The grounds are nice they have a big pavilion on the water for frys or boils. Good part of the lake too. Lanann San Miguel . Good Luck

I was kind of wondering this as well. Don't mean to thread hijack, but I'm trying to plan a bachelor party for my brother. Anyone have any experiences with Deep South Charters in Venice?

the guys at Phil Robicheaux Charters in Lafitte are reasonably priced and they catch fish. November is usually a good month unless you go right after a cold front and the launch is 40 minutes from downtown nola. Venice is a further drive and the charter trips will cost about $200 more per boat......but there's no place like the mouth of the river.
