I know I'm a "Falcons hater" but do any of his players actually respect him?

He comes off as so fake and corny. I'm sure the vets, especial players from other teams, see right through false bravado.

I get the impression they like him and Occassionally that like motivates them to play hard for him

I don't think they respect him. To be fair, his GM has screwed him at every turn. With Scott Pioli in the picture, the falcons are circling the drain and MS will pay the price even though I don't think he's the biggest issue

Haven't watched HK, just a fans perspective from the games, lockeroom videos, interviews, etc.

i didnt think it's been too hard on Smith. I think it's portrayed him accurately for the most part.

Brian Cox is the man though. Loved that guy when he used to crush for the Dolphins, but love him even more as a coach. Seems like he walked off the set of any given sunday.

I tell you what though, that show has made me not hate Roddy anymore. Still hopes he doesnt catch a ball all season, but the burning hatred of 7 hells I used to have is gone

Smith isn't the Belichickian alpha dog, but his personality isn't a detriment to the team or anything.

He did almost go to the Superbowl in 2012...

Dimitroff and Smith are a joke.

Terry Robiskie, Mike Tice, and Brian Cox are the toughest guys in that locker room

Mike Tice is a very, very good position coach.

He does seem to have a hard time making conversation with players.. The interaction between him and JJ Watts was weird as do some of conversations with other players on his team. Probably not atypical of Head coaches these days but it seems he is more administrator than on the field coach. They set the tone and direction and leave the nuts and bolts to the position coaches..

Whats his specialty? because after watching the 3 episodes, I still dont know what area he excels in as a coach..

He has had success, so Im not knocking his style but its interesting trying to decipher it.

Seems to be a universal feeling except for people who just have an irrational hatred of the Falcons

Roddy has been killing it and the star of the show, outside of Bryan Cox and Mike Tice

The segment in the first episode where Mike Smith was trying to act tough and inspire was cringe-worthy. He was stumbling over curse words, most likely because that isn't his style
