i had a lot of fun and I got some pretty helpful input from this board, which i really appreciate btw, but I've come to realize that I actually ended up enjoying building and overclocking this pc than i do playing games on it. I'm also moving across the country in a few months so I've decided to just sell this one and build another one down the road.

Thisis my build. I also have a Qnix 1440p monitor straddled by a pair of asus 24" monitors (so I can game in either 1440p or 5760x1080) and an additional hanns-g 24" monitor.

So my question is, how should I sell it? should i try to sell the three 24" monitors with the pc, or the qnix with the pc, or just everything separate? Also, craigslist vs ebay? I live in austin but drive to houston and dallas a lot anyway so i think a craigslist ad would get a lot of traffic if i post it in all three cities. Also, price point suggestions? Some of the parts were bought on black friday but the rest wasnt bought and assembled until january, it's also been extremely minimally used. I havent even been home for the last 3 months.

That's an excellent build, in both performance and proper allocation. shite, with the crossfire 290s and 4770k it's near identical to mine minus the water cooling. Only thing I disapprove of is the excessively fast RAM paired with the Haswell IMC. Running it at full speed can hinder overclock potential. But that's just nitpicking for the sake of it.

That being said, because it's such a high-end build, your odds of being able to sell the whole PC at once are pretty low, especially on Craigslist. You'll probably get insultingly low offers or none at all. Although the Houston/Dallas/Austin coverage would be pretty huge.

Not only should you sell the monitors separately, but you will also have the fastest response and higher rate of success by parting the PC out. You will also have the advantage of being able to sell online and not have to worry about the cost of shipping a heavy, expensive PC to some fricktard who couldn't build his own and will likely screw up yours and blame you.

I would not be surprised if you get some serious offers here for many of those parts. Bluebarracuda is in a state of perpetual building and rebuilding, and I believe stout is on the hunt for parts as well. Try r/hardwareswap too, though I've been watching it off and on lately and it's looking too much like a buyer's market than usual.

Remember to keep resale expectations reasonable. You're selling on the heels of a notable Haswell CPU and chipset refresh, so the 4770K's are less desirable. A few months ago, you would've been shocked at how cheap used R-9 290s were selling for. I bought both of mine for $200 each. Looking at eBay's sold listings, they are still going for dirt cheap, seeing many with non-reference coolers being snatched up in the $250 range. People still unloading their mining stock, driving the prices down. It's a bad time to sell video cards. And that being said, I'm probably going to list four of them myself, from my mining rig.

You might sell the CPU and motherboard faster if you set a good price for the bundle, maybe including the cooler. Don't expect much for the hard drive (I'd just keep that if I were you). Likewise for the Samsung 830. It's a couple of gens old now, but still very fast (I have the 256GB 830 and just recently upgraded to the 500gb 840 evo). Blue might still be looking for a 128gb SSD. Selling the case online will be costly because of shipping. I always keep my old cases because occasionally I'll accumulate enough old components for a franken-PC to use as a home server or HTPC. Unless you're in need of the money, consider keeping the PSU for your next build (unless you're planning some triple-GPU monster build)

As for the 802.11ac adapter, go sell that on the tech board. Lots of morons there with AC routers and zero 802.11AC adapters.

thanks for the advice sir.

and barracuda I'd say 250 each for the gpu's and 275 for the monitor. There's a decent chance i keep the q-nix though, 1440p is just beautiful
