I have recently started playing League of Legends. I have heard of the game for a while but was under the impression that is was free.

I've played a good bit of matches (non ladder/ranked), but man, it seemed like there are players that play the game just seem like they take it way too seriously. Frequent name calling, language, things like that. My own friends who I know really well outside of the game are, to put it simply enough, jerks in game.

I play Fizz, I don't know what kind of reputation Fizz has, but I get accused of KSing without even trying. Im running around with a group of 2-3 and getting kills, and I get called a KSer the whole game because I get the killing blows.

I overal get a vibe that the good players have huge egos, and constantly pick on new/inexperienced players more so than other games that I have played. I halfway know what I'm doing, but when people I play act like that when I mess up or just play the game how I know how, it's a real turn off.

Just ignore or mute em. If you are having fun, frick everybody else.

KSing has been "a thing" since the very first online game with a scoreboard that shows kills, I'm sure.

Those players aren't good. People whining about a fizz getting kills is just pathetic. The only person on the team you can maybe get a little mad for ksing is the support taking a for sure kill away. Other than that though it doesn't matter who gets the kill as long as you kill the target. I'm guessing you aren't level 30 yet but when you get level 30 you will be playing with people around your skill level for the most part. Overall the community is atrocious and other then your friends it's usually better for you to mute anyone who you know is gonna be talking shite the whole game. Everyone think they are carrying the game and any mistake they make they are going to blame teammates.

Before that, it could get you banned in EQ and was the constant source of entertainment with zone shouting matches over it.

There are a lot of holier than thou assholes who play League, I'm not gonna lie. They can do no wrong and are gods at the game, yet find themselves stuck in low elo (read: the ranking system) through no fault of their own. Of course all of that is bullshite and a lot of times I just mute everyone and communicate through pings, which is all you really need. You'll find a lot of people who care more about their KDA than they do about winning the game, which are typically the ones who bitch and moan about KSing. Also, pretty much everyone hates Fizz because he's a pain in the arse to play against because of his skillset.

I'd say try playing a few games with everyone muted and see how it goes. You can't get any better without playing and if you have a bad game, you won't be able to see any of the flaming.

hit tab and you can click the mute button next to players in game.

friendly tip, the vast majority of top laners have gigantic egos. worst lane for toxicity imo.

whenever I play now, I immediately go thru the scoreboard and mute everyone not on my friends list. no reason for me to talk to anyone or see anything they have to say. my enjoyment of league went up 10000000000000%

Fizz is good.

but I get accused of KSing

You are the mid laner, you and the adc should be getting all the kills. Once you get out of the skill basement of league stuff like this doesn't happen. I don't think I've seen "KS" in my past 500 matches.

KS = Kill Secure and don't let anyone tell you different.

If you're the support or maybe a tank jungle/top, then sure, you want to try to give the kills/gold to your carries, but even then it isn't worth being toxic.

As a fizz midlane, they should be totally fine giving you the kills/gold. It makes you, the AP carry, much stronger.

This games community has some of the whiniest players out there. Sure we all get pissed and rage every now and again, but most of us aren't petulant children about not getting a kill.
