How do you set up your scoring for the passing game?

New league with people I've never played with before. For the QB's they have it set up to every 40 yards passing is a point, and 6 points for a passing TD. Is this normal?

I think most standard way is 1 pt every 25 yds and 4 pt for passing TD

Yes that is what i'm used to. I was just wondering if this other way is also a common way to do it? They made it seem like this was the most popular way. I'm not buying it.

Me either. Seems it puts too much of a premium on TD's to me. Granted i'm not fantasy guru so that's why I asked.

I never did understand why QB's are so undervalued when they are the most important player on the field.

That means that 1 TD = 240 yards passing in point value. That's ridiculous.

Standard scoring has 1 TD = 100 yards passing, which is much more appropriately weighted imo

This is the reason not to use 40 yards for a point.

I have been in leagues that awarded 6 points for TD to QBs and ones that award 4 points for QB TDs. We use 4 points in my current league.

Even with 4 points, QBs usually outscore the rest of the players.

Bc if they got 1 pt/10 yds and 6 pts/TD the game would be swayed way to heavily to QBs, as some would score 50/week
