I traded in my new S&W Bodyguard .380 today for the new Glock G42 .380. When I saw it, I just couldn't pass it up. I know this new version of the Glock .380 is brand new to the market, but I was wondering if anyone on the OB has one or has heard anything good or bad about this new gun. TIA.

Drop some oil on the slide before you shoot it, and DO NOT limp wrist it while shooting.
Great pistol. You won't be disappointed.

What did you not like about the Bodyguard?

I'm curious because I just bought one last week.

It is a HUGE .380, I can't believe glock actually thought it would be a good idea to produce something like that.

If I want a gun that big I will at minimum have a 9mm. A .380 that size is DUMB.

Glock's next gun (my prediction) will be a 9mm in the same size as the G42. Then all the people who bought the .380 will be .

You should gotten a Walther PPK 9mm "short" so you could be like James Bond.

Why in the hell Glock has not done a single stack 9mm the size of a G19 is a mystery to me. They may be "tupperware" and
ugly, but they go bang every damn time.

You can get a 9mm smaller than a G42.

I 100% agree. My Kahr CM9 is the same capacity, actually smaller in dimensions, holds the same amount of ammo, and is chambered in 9mm.

But congrats on your pistol.

The thing I didn't like about the S&W Bodyguard is the insanely long trigger pull. That long hard pull made shooting accuracy nearly impossible. I liked the size. The laser to me is useless.

You got to give Glock some credit. If they would've released the 9mm first, then very few would've bought the .380. Now they'll double their sales once they do release the 9mm.

The import laws wouldn't allow it for years.
Now that Glock has a factory in Smyrna, Georgia, USA, expect one in the next few years.
