Long Distance Drafting for Offline Draft

Every year we get together to do our offline draft. Unfortunately, it seems like 1 person is always unable to make it.
How do you handle the situation?
Over the phone
Substitute with person's rankings

Just looking for ways to improve.

Have someone on a messenger of some sort letting him/her know what the picks are. Then he can call in his pick when it's his turn.
Works well.

This... we are going to use draftnight for our draft. Everyone will be there but the setup is perfect for leagues that not everyone can attend. It will basically be like doing an online draft on ESPN for the guy that's not there.

We have a friend who is stationed in Cali with the Marines. We use Skype. We also had a friend called into work and we used speakerphone for the duration of the draft. Both worked well as they made notes as the draft went on. Never hit any speed bumps along the way.

Just did a draft over a 2 day period using clickydraft. Was skeptical at first but it worked wonders. Of course you can set a timer if want to get it over with in a given time. Works extremely well though.
