What's up with this place...did they open before they had a legitimate business plan? Since it's opened, we've been a handful of times and ordered out a few. Every time we've went in there have been ridiculous wait times to be seated and long waits for food to be prepared. The wait times were also not proportionate to the crowd size...seems like bad management.

Yesterday, we decided to try again and ordered out. I get there for the to go order and see on the receipt that they are now charging $0.50 per entree for "to go boxes". Who does that? At least try to hide it from your customer and add $0.50 to the entree price to cover the "overhead"...looks tacky.

It looks tacky to be complaining about a .50 charge.

How long have they been open? I wouldn't be expecting a great experience from a Mike Anderson's.

The chicken fingers are like 1/3 the size they used to be. Screw them.

ETA: I know Mike Anderson's gets a lot of hate here, but I absolutely love their fried shrimp. A couple other great dishes as well.

Maybe you should look up the term "in context".

So add it to the price of the entree.

Why do that?

The profit margins on food items are really small. Restauraunts make their money on drinks. If you are picking up a to-go order, I have no problem with them adding .50. I've seen that at lots of places.

That's pretty tacky.

I haven't been there in years (the original) because I think it's not very good and it's overpriced.

When I used to work at LSU, I would pick up Mike A's for lunch, but I boycotted when the wait was unacceptable.

On THREE separate occasions, they quoted me a time, I got there after the quoted time, and I had to wait in the lobby for an additional 10+ minutes for the food to be made.

There's no reason for me to arrive at a restaurant 45 minutes after ordering and my food not be ready.

Todd Graves or a Cane's marketing person should address this publicly. It's so noticeable.

That styrofoam box and plastic bag isn't free. Half a buck per entree seems reasonable.

Guitreau not Gautreau. I worked the grill/sautee station at the Lee Dr. location for a year while I was at LSU. Unreal how well that dish sold.

What's the old man doing now? Still in the restaurants? I saw they just opened in the Riverwalk.

Bottom line is that the mike Anderson's in central is not being run properly. Sammys has not hurt any since they opened.
