Then why aren't they in Ferguson?

Then again, the protestors aren't exactly "unarmed", either.

Look up Title 10, SRUF, Stafford Act, Posse Commitatus in your Google search bar.

I'm not remotely worried...that is the single worst disaster that could happen...for the army and for the government.

you get even a single video of the army putting down people in the streets and they're going to have a much bigger problem than riots on their hand.

You know Alex Jones is a ridiculous fear monger, and nothing he says has any bearing on reality, right?

How is that different than any other media outlet?

I would be more surprised if something like this didn't exist. I would bet that there have been many domestic war game scenarios brainstormed.

Im sure there are people paid to come up with contingency plans for anything and everything , like preparing for the day when Rhode Island takes over the world or something like that

How much resistance will the Army have against committing violence against Americans, in your opinion?

Not an active FM.

The 132-page document, titled U.S. Army Techniques Publication 3-39.33: Civil Disturbances (PDF), was written in April 2014 and recently obtained by Public Intelligence.

Did these dumbasses not see the distribution notice at the bottom of the cover page?

quote:

DISTRIBUTION RESTRICTION. Approved for public release; distribution is unlimited.

Yeah, really dug something up there...

Because modern jackasses don't read too good...

quote:

2-4. For the U.S. Army, conducting civil disturbance missions within the United States. will vary greatly when compared to conducting civil disturbance missions within a foreign country where the U.S. Army is conducting operations. Except as expressly authorized by the Constitution of the United States or by another act of Congress, the Posse Comitatus Act (18 USC 1385) prohibits the use of the Active Army as
enforcement officials to execute state or federal law and perform direct law enforcement functions within Chapter 2 2-2 ATP 3-39.33 21 April 2014
CONUS.

That basically sums up the difference between Title 10 (Regular Army, Reserve Soldiers on AD) vs Title 32/SAD National Guard which do have DLA as long as it's the state that is paying them and not Uncle Sam.

Excuse me, but what did I say that it is so amusing to you?

Try looking at apd.army.mil. Hopefully it will be just as entertaining.

Did not say it was. That was not the focus of the article. It was ATP 3-39.33. And since I can find it on adp.army.mil I know it is current Army doctrine.

As far as the read of your post, you are correct. It is open source information.

As far as the information regarding Title 10 of US Code versus Title 32, yeah, I kind of know just a little bit of it.
