Would LSU ever pay tribute to fans like this?

Would Bama? Florida? Ohio State? Notre Dame?

I would like to think so, but I think if anything, it would be more of a private affair.

Newcastle United Football Club held a minute of silence ceremony at midfield for two regular fans who died in the shooting down of MH17.

quote:

Before kick-off, St James' Park paid tribute to John Alder and Liam Sweeney, the Newcastle fans who died on flight MH17. Fabricio Coloccini and Vincent Kompany walked out and placed wreaths in the centre-circle. This was followed by a haunting minute's silence broken only by the occasional cry of a sea-gull and ending with a thunderous ovation. The sight of two seats left empty in an otherwise sold-out stadium added to the poignancy.
With the club flag at half-mast, Martin Atkinson then got the game underway

Yes, I think they would.

LSU had an entire ceremony for the shooting victims at VT when we played them the following season.

Prior to a football game, LSU had a video tribute on the Jumbotron to Shelby Holmes who was murdered last October.

He was a HUGE fan and also a former student worker at SID 20+ years ago.

I'm pretty sure dandy Don got a moment of silence at a LSU baseball game when he passed. I want to say they gave his son a plague or something also but not to sure on that.

Yes. LSU has twice held ceremonies for Scott Lamana who died in the Pentagon on 9/11.
