I'm a total noob at this stuff. Bought a 3 shelve drawer at ikea and I'm on the step where I need to mount it into a wall. It seemed sturdy enough in the store without doing it. I'm not sure where I want it yet and it doesn't seem big enough to tip over. It's like 34 inches tall

If you don't want to do it then don't do it

Doesn't sound important

Only an issue if its top heavy and you have kids that may try to climb up on it.

Ok sounds good.

I have to stop anyway because the next step is hammering a bunch of shite and I don't want to wake up the apartment but it seems like ill skip it

I've traveled the country, fricked two goats, walked barefooted uphill both ways to school, and used uber twice in my life, but I've never seen a chest of drawers attached to a wall in all my time.

I don't even know why you would consider doing that

I had to do it once to a dresser that was top heavy. My twins were using it as a jungle gym and it made us nervous.

I had a dresser fall on me one time. I was yelling for my mom, but she didn't hear me for a few minutes. It was crazy.

I think it's a bigger deal if you live somewhere prone to earthquakes

I have had several. I have owned the tall ones and the wide ones. I have yet to have a single one ever tip over. In fact, the wife has both in our bedroom and I have a wide one. We have kids and they have never even come close to tipping.
