People who pay with only large bills?

Being here in Houston i've noticed there are a lot of people who pay with $100, even with small purchases say $8 or less. I know we have a lot of illegals who get paid in cash and others who don't have bank accounts and just cash their paycheck every Friday, but it is possible to request smaller bills when you get your cash. I mean it's one thing to pay for a $80 purchase with a $100 bill but not $7-$8 purchases. I'll admit i'm probably an O-T poor so maybe I just don't understand.

$100s are the denomination favored by the drug world. Among other thing, you can fit $1 million into a briefcase using $100s. Yesterday,on NPR, they ran a segment about the debate to eliminate the $100 from our currency portfolio,

Depends on their demographic. I usually carry a couple hundreds on me at any given time. I don't do drugs and I have a bank account. I just don't want every single action I take reduced to data saved on some server somewhere forever. Google is valuable because of the info it collects about its users. Same with Facebook. The NSA wants to record all your phone calls and emails and even this post. I'm not comfortable with every action I take being recorded in that fashion. I can assure you it's not being recorded for my personal benefit. So I pay for a lot of things with cash. And it's easier to take out a decent sized withdrawal from the bank with a couple hundreds included rather than a bunch of 20s to cram in the wallet.
