Haven't used it in BR yet, though I plan to tonight. I used it quite a bit when I visited DC and NYC a few weeks ago. Every experience was top-notch.

I've been periodically checking the app to see how many cars are becoming available. The numbers have really skyrocketed these last couple weeks. This is going to be a GREAT thing for the people of Baton Rouge.

Just moved back to NOLA from DC and the biggest problem I had with uber was that the X drivers didn't know where shite was without GPS... I mean, I got in and I was like, "I need to go to Union station" and he was like, "Do you know the address?"

I was thinking, "Yeah, a-hole.. It's 1 Union Station St, Washington-fricking-DC"

Even if someone had a bad experience I believe the likelihood of having one is much less than with a taxi.

wish they would expand the area about 1/4 mile south. Just misses my neighborhood for pick up.

Try it. I'm just outside according to the map but it works if there is a car close enough.

Should only be a matter of time. As uber and Lyft got more popular here I started getting emails about the pick up area expanding

How big is the coverage area? Like downtown to Mall of Louisiana?

It's 50/50 with the current cab drivers in nola. Half also have no clue where they're going.

Last 2 times coming home from the airport were bad. First time the dude was clueless and took me to the fricking WHD when I needed to be near Napoleon and magazine. Second time the cab tried to act like he knew all the back roads and he exited off Carrollton. Took him 16 minutes after exiting trying to be cute instead of just getting off at clairborne.
