A few favorites in no particular order...
Republic Grille - good steaks and variety, not too pricey
Tommy Bahama's - quality food and atmosphere
Grimaldi's Pizza
Skeeter's Mesquite Grill - Burgers, Fajitas, etc
Black Walnut Cafe - American food
Hubbel and Hudson Kitchen - American Food
Morton's Grille - great burgers
Grotto - Italian food
No specific picks on TexMex or BBQ, since favorites seem to vary by individual preferences

For Tex-mex I would recommend Los cucos. Great local place with a ton of options.
