For the trigger recall? I got my box in the mail 2 months after I filled out the initial paperwork. I've decided against sending it to Remington and am putting a timney trigger in it set at 2.5lbs.

Also what poundage would you set the trigger at? It's from 1.5 to 4 lbs and it's a varmint gun in 22-250.

I think 2.5 lbs is a good crisp break depending on what you wanna do. I've shot custom built rifles set at 10 ounces, which was awesome for target shooting, but would be too light for deer hunting and if you have kids, may be dangerous being that light.

Last few years. It's the x-mark trigger if in not mistaken. They can fire on safety or something. I can't remember except that it's a safety issue with the trigger.

There's a number you can call and put in the serial number, it will tell you if it's affected or not.

It took so long to get the box that I lost confidence in them ever returning my rifle. I need to figure out if I am buying a new trigger or what.

I thought it was the older triggers. Wasn't the X Mark trigger the one replacing the faulty trigger design?

After checking out the link, it appears the new triggers have issues, as well. There were a lot of talk about their old triggers having issues, so I replaced my older one with an X Mark...I'm just going to get a Timney next summer. Remington may not design triggers well, but my 700 is just to accurate too depart with.

Is that a statute of limitations issue? Haven't they been having problems with the 700 for many, many years?
