LSU Football Scrimmage 8/16: Updated post scrimmage

#LSU coach Les Miles:QBs were in green today, didn't get chance to run. In spring they were in live tackle football We're too close 2 season

#LSU coach Les Miles: There's days where 1 QB shines a little more, days where the other does. It takes time. I like how they're competing

Coach Miles on Malachi Dupre: We expect him back on Monday, and that’s good news because there are things he can do on the field.

#LSU coach Les Miles: Trey Quinn had really nice outing, caught 4-5 balls., nice slant, square in, flag. Did very well.

#LSU coach Les Miles: LaCouture and Herron played a lot with 1s at DT. Thomas didn't play, did some individual. Probably get pop next week

#LSU coach Les Miles: Hilliard poised to have a really big year. D. Williams learning behind him. Williams will be a really good back.

#LSU coach Les Miles: Ones vs. ones was really competitive, difficult to move the ball, they made us earn it. Very physical, big lines.

Q: Who threw the interception? Les: A quarterback Q: Any touchdowns thrown? Les: 3 Q: You gonna tell us who threw them? Les: Quarterbacks

Coach Miles: A lot was accomplished today. We’re not ready to play a game, but right now we are improved.

Coach Miles at his post-scrimmage interview: Danielle Hunter had nine tackles, four for losses. He led the day on defense.

#LSU coach Les Miles: A lot of contact, defense dominated, sped to the ball. Rushing, 4 backs carried the ball about 14 snaps apiece.

#LSU coach Les Miles: Both quarterbacks are improved. Didn't have turnover, defense was stripping. Defense dominant, Hunter had nine tackles

#LSU coach Les Miles: Really nice day, hot as hell, overcast with a really nice breeze. Threw it 45 times, completed 20 balls.

LSU will turn attention to Wisconsin and its tendencies on Monday. Up to now, LSU has been working on LSU, Miles said.
