"Mackeeper" Pop-up Removal

I went to this random site earlier trying to stream the Saints game. Well, unfortunately it has been an epic fail and am currently in the company of pop-up galore. I'm not too tech savy but have done a few things and haven't had any luck. 1) I deleted everything under my Safari Preferences (cookies,etc) 2) I turned on my Block Pop-Ups Option & 3) I found a video explaining the sudo nano function but haven't had any luck with it.
Any help would be appreciated. TIA

1. This SOB pops up every minute or so.
2. Banners are on my home page & searches.

I only get it when I go to pornhub.
Take that for what it's worth.
eta: use Chrome instead and install the pop up blocker.

Never use Safari. It is the least secure browser out there.

I used to get that thing all the fricking time. I installed Adblock and Ghostery and haven't seen it since.
