Most popular/liked pro franchise from the South?

Nationwide, what pro franchise is most popular/liked?
Revising OP to include Texas and all of Florida, would it make a difference? Cowboys? Dolphins? Bucs? Lightning? Magic?
I still say the Braves. What say you?
...if the Braves are unanimous then who would be second? Probably no majority but who in a plurality? Saints? Predators?
Watching the Saints/Titans it occurred to me how disproportionate the players from southern states are to teams. Who are the teams that best represent the region?

Has to be the Braves.
Edit: Largely thanks to TBS and the 90's.

Not sure, but there are probably some objective metrics out there (ratings, jerseys and merch sold, name recognition). I'd tend to say the Brave, too.

If Dallas doesnt count then its easily the Braves

Braves. No other pro team really comes close really.

Do you think Dallas should count as the South? Would it otherwise be the Cowboys hands down?

By confederate, traditional South, I think the only states left are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia (though that's changing), Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and maybe Tennessee. Virginia and North Carolina are too far gone to the Yankees to count them.
Judging by those seven states, and these Facebook maps...
...it's easily the Braves, followed by the Saints (lock down on three states.)

I'm not sure I count Texas as southern, based on the original poster's criteria. Texas is its own animal.
South Louisiana is almost its own animal as well but then I'd really be nit-picking.

who the hell watches baseball?

BTW the blue on the baseball map in Arkansas represents the Cardinals, and the black on the map represents the Yankees, with the Rangers and the Astros having some in-roads into Louisiana.
Apparently most of the rest of Louisiana could not care less about Major League Baseball, since everyone just defaults to the Yankees.

Braves, easily.
I'm guessing the Predators are a hockey team.
