Why is James Carville representing LSU on SEC Network?

He's been in Baton Rouge since the early 70's where he practiced law, before he went into politics.
He went to LSU.
So did Shaq though.
I really have no idea other than he's been in/around the BR area longer than Shaq has, not throwing darts at Shaq, don't get me wrong.
I've met him and he's awesome. Maybe he was busy when they filmed that particular piece or something.

James Carville is a real fan. Not that Shaq isn't but a 99.9% of LSU fans aren'y former players.
He wrote an essay for SI after the 2007 championship that described being an LSU fan so accurately. I wish i could find a link to it.
And i will never forget him debating and USC fan in 2007 "If you want to be in the national championship beat Stanford at home!"

My dad went to high school with him at ascension catholic. Too many tales of his douchebaggery for me to like him. He does rep LSU like a champ though.
Also... way better than Sabrina the teenage witch reppin us. Bama fans gotta be pissed about that. And on top of that, she's only been a fan for a few years.

I think having Melissa Joan Hart representing Alabama is a pretty accurate depiction of their fanbase. She didn't attend Alabama like the other 85% of the Gumps.

Last night I looked up her bio and it said she was born and raised in New York, and lives in Connecticut now.

I was wearing an LSU shirt at dinner the other day and my waiter gave me a Roll Tide. We were talking College football later and I mentioned how I had a good time in Tuscaloosa in 2011, he said he's never actually been to Tuscaloosa but is a huge fan because he grew up near Mobile

Carville has been a great proponent of LSU for a long time.
Personally I thought he represented LSU better than Charlie Daniels' represented Tennessee. While I like Charlie Daniels, I thought that story about him not going to the Vol's national championship game because he would have yelled too loud and hurt his voice was kind of lame in a piece where they are trying to show the passions of the fans for their teams.
BTW: who was the older looking but still fit lady they had on for the Kentucky Wildcat basketball portion?

She was on when I first turned it on and for awhile I thought she was just one of those groupies that follow the team and bang all the players (of course I guess she could still be that). She seemed a little annoying in the stands but her body is holding up pretty well.
