Family brought this back for me from Wyoming trip that I couldn't make. I'm aware that its not particulary impressive, but im curious as to what it is from? Just decorative, but im not a hunter so have no idea. Dont think it's a regular whitetail but again, have no clue

Thanks

Called a non-typical rack, atleast that little at the base is. It's a genetic thing, but very common in unmanaged deer herds. That deer would be what a lot of people call a "cull" buck.

Looks to be human. Wasn't aware that you could buy those, but then again, I've never been to Wyoming.

Oh, you meant the horns.

Could be, didn't really think about that. Definitely some weird main beams for a whitetail.

Small mule deer. Mule deer horns fork and branch whereas whitetail have the main beam from which addional points will branch

They do have muley/whitetail crossbreeds in certain areas out west.

But if not I'd say it's a young muley

I doubt it's a muley with those brow tines, I'm going with whitetail cull buck.

Feet -1
