Cabelas has fantastic customer service

Sent back a pair of 5 year old waders that developed a pin hole leak and they replaced them with no questions asked. I will never buy another brand of waders.

Sounds like you don't have to.

Cablea's brand gear is super nice. Heads and tails above bass pro brand.

I have a family member who works for Cabelas. He gets pissed off every time we talk about their miserable saltwater fishing section and the management's inability or unwillingness to improve it.


But he heaps a lot of praise on the company's stance on standing behind their products. He said he is amazed at the things that they will take back on exchanges and give refunds for with no questions asked. He said especially so on the Cabela's brand products more than anything else.

Anyone know if this is just a new Cabelas's brand (like redhead for bps, etc...) or is this herters actually selling their own stuff under their own name? I'll put it to you this way, I patched a 2" hole in the boot with some sort of "seal it", it totally looked like shite and they exchanged them because of a leak they developed elsewhere.

I had almost exact result with BPS waders last February.

Also had a pair of several years old Rocky Gore Tex hunting boots that leaked. Was tipped off to report them to W.L.Gore. They had me ship them in for testing. A couple weeks later they called and told me to pick any brand boot of similar price with a Gore tex liner and they'd replace them.

I like the bargain room at cabelas, bought a really nice poker chip set in there for $30 originally $80. Also bought some new camo pants.

I have a pair of wader that have a hole in the seat and are 5 plus years old. I'm going to send them in this week and see what they say.

If they say they can't do anything, I'll only be out the shipping. I will report back.
