Top 100 Restaurants in the South

Pulled from the SEC board. I bring you this list so that you may destroy it. Begin.

I think the LA listings are pretty solid. I'm not sure if Toups belongs, but good list overall.

I am skeptical of any LA restaurant outside of New Orleans being on the list, but I understand trying to spread the love.

I will say that French Press is very good. Top 100 good ... I don't know.

I ate the Odd Duck by accident the night it opened. Pretty good. NOT top 100. Commander's definitely not top 100. Petite Grocery is good, but is it top 10 in NOLA. Probably not.

DC is the south?

Most of the GA restaurants I agree with, or at least understand why they were included.

I agree, do DC people consider it the South?

I doubt it.

I'm willing to give DC the benefit of the doubt. I was always raised that DC was a borderline southern city, but I'm from Tennessee, so some people from LA claim I'm not southern. Modern DC is not very southern, but it used to be and still gets some spillover from poduck VA.

Its neither northern nor southern. See Kennedy's quote that "DC has the charm of the North and the efficiency of the South."

Its like Lakeview, but sub Orleans Parish and Jefferson Parish
