Obviously the coaches will prepare the team as much as they can.

The Auburn game worries me. Not only the first true road game but arguably first real threat of a loss of the season.

What experience do you think will prepare us best for the Auburn Tigers?

I was thinking the Mississippi St. game will have the closest atmosphere and intensity leading up to Auburn.

You don't think Wisconsin is a real threat? I'd be curious to hear your reasoning. I suspect it relies heavily upon them not being from the SEC.

In terms of defending a very good duel threat QB yes, but nothing can prepare either of our QBs for the environment they will be playing in. Easily our toughest game.

I do. I just think we would have to make a lot of mistakes to lose to them.

First we need to beat Wisconsin, then we need to beat Miss St. before we worry about Auburn. We have a VERY young team, so we need to quit looking ahead to Auburn.

Not trying to look too far ahead. And obviously the coaching staff will. I mean what will give them the experience necessary to do well at Jordan Hare.

Lots of amphetamines, obviously.

Yes. Also the point can be made that over 3/4 of the squad has played Auburn, over has have been to Auburn and several on the team will be making their 3rd trip to Auburn. By the time LSU gets to that game the crowd will be a minimal factor. The Auburn team will be good but not unbeatable for a team like LSU.

Winning will be the best experience for the team as it will build character and confidence.

If they're undefeated that'll help immensely. Otherwise, nothing will prepare them for Jordan-Hare. It will probably be the loudest it's been in the last couple of years & the loudest environment to that point in the year.

You do realize that we are fans, right? We aren't playing in any games. We dont have to prepare for anything and are free to look forward or past whomever we choose.

This "fans, don't look past anyone" is some of the dumbest thinking is sports.

Everyone keeps saying this and I'm just not sure I agree. I expect LSU is going to struggle mightily against Wisc's run game. And my hunch is LSU will have to keep mistakes (esp on offense) to a minimum to win.

with at least one glaring exception, Miles has a good track record of getting the team whipped up and ready with that much time to prepare, I'd look for us to issuing a sound arse whipping to those punks, particularly after a few boring weeks of rent a wins leading up to the game

This! I believe our schedule is perfect for a run, but the one road contest that scares me is this one. I have been beating the drum to a beat that sounds like this, "If we can geaux to Auburn and beat them and the refs, we will finish the regular season undefeated!" We shall see, it is gonna be fun, regardless of a championship or not.

im not afraid one bit of that style of offense. Chavis's scheme is great against that style. What we have lost one game against that style, Ole Miss last year and that was with 3 offensive INTs
