This older lady at my office came in with some old floppy disks with old family photos and other items saved. None of the CPUs at the office have floppy drives.

Is there anywhere around Baton Rouge where one could take old floppys and have them re-saved on CDs or a thumb drive or something?

Are the floppys readable?

Hard to know until he checks this thread two weeks from now and realizes all the options he has based on a google search

If they're real floppies, i.e., 5-1/4 inch, you may have a problem finding a USB drive.

I would imagine it would cost more to have Kinko's do it than to buy a usb external drive and some dvd's.

Hope you aren't the IT guy

I'm not. And I vaguely remember these floppys from when I was like 5 or 6.

Thanks for the help. I'm going to tell her to pickup the external drive from BB.
