On an ssd.
I have my old hard drive as a secondary drive. Didn't do anything to it besides unplug it while I installed win on the ssd and then plugged it into a secondary port.

So...
1.Am I doing anything wrong by leaving the old drive as is as a local disk? Windows is still installed on it.

2. My new install of windows won't connect to Internet because built in Ethernet driver isn't working. Is there anyway I can find the driver on my old drive? Like a default location for that driver once installed.
Thanks

Not a bit. You'll probably want to reclaim drive space at some point but the moment you install something new your "old" copy of Windows will not recognize it so you might as well go for it.

This is where it really helps to have access to a second machine or even a phone with internet access so long as you can transfer driver files to your machine.

Just realized I could download driver to my tablet and USB it over. Let's hope my POS kindle fire will do it.
