Is veal named differently than beef?

Why?

Why can't I find a veal ribeye or a veal NY strip?

Veal doesnt have fat. Or not much fat. It's not the same as beef. If you hack off a veal "ribeye" and cook it like a steak you are going to have something akin to a leather and flubber love child.

I love a veal rib chop. Sear it and cook to medium rare.
