I'm 38 and grew up a block off campus. I've never seen anything like it.
Athletic ability aside, it would take a rare human to manage this. I can't even fathom the pressure

He said his goal is to be an all american this year. He's a confident guy. No fan should EXPECT that of him.

I don't think it's hype. He knows he's a special player. We're just excited to watch.

He's no doubt getting hype but i agree i dont know why some people cant just be excited we have this guy. Sometimes you have to not be miserable.

nothing the fans can really put on him expectation-wise could be anything heavier than what he already puts on himself.
FWIW, I hope he rushes for 110+ yds and 1 or more scores against Wisky along with the rest of the backfield going ham.

He has been dealing with hype since he was a freshman in HS.
His parents have obviously raised him well and have done a very good job of keeping him humble and focused.
I think he takes all the hype in stride from what I have seen in his interviews.
LSU fans need to relax and enjoy this rare talent and support him if he doesn't rush for 2000 yds his freshman year.

His "hype" is little different than the hype here if we had signed the #1 basketball player in the nation or the #1 baseball player in the nation.
Fair or not, the expectations of #1 ranked HS players are gonna be sky hi in any sport.
Some can handle it and some cant. We will see.
