Optimism

So, I readily admit that I lean toward optimism at the beginning of most Saints or Pelicans seasons (not stupidly unrealistic, but I lean toward the positive). I look at this team and really believe that if they have decent luck with injuries, they'll be a dangerous team in the regular season. Yes, it's a bit of an unorthodox roster, but it has talent, youth, height and athleticism. The concerns about figuring out how to divide the minutes are way overstated, imo. It should be entertaining.
Nothing insightful here, really. I'm just thinking (posting) out loud. We're due for a good year.
Whatever.

Besides health and Monty, the only thing I'm worried about is how Reke can defend opposing SFs. Fortunately, outside of Durant, the best offensive SFs are in the East. Leonard is a great all around player and Batum/Parsons are good offensively, but none of them are making me thing "Holy shite, they're going to go off for 30+ against Reke."
(Not saying that Reke will play SF all of the time, but he'll most likely finish each half there).

I'll make my third and final appeal...is your law firm hiring? I'm only a 1L but any kind of experience I can gain from working for you would be great. Oh and nice thread
