Doing a stint with KAP right now. $58/hr ST. guaranteed 50hrs/week right now. 84hrs/week starting when decommissioning begins. Finished up with Furmanite a few months ago on a job they were cool to work for.

The 60-80 range is uncommon for this area. Might be different in LA. I am in texas.

ETA unless you meant 60-80 a year... and not an hour..

I made 125k last year planning. working 8 months. It all depends on who/where.

Proficient in SAP. Not enough P6 experience to claim it. Feeling like that's a hindrance.

Be certain (whoever) to dig a big hole and put all backup generators for pumps at the bottom of the hole. that planning worked great during Katrina and the Japanese nuclear disaster.

Keep an eye on the ExxonMobil website. They will post jobs for planners periodically. Maintenance planners use SAP almost exclusively. They start at around $100k the first year then get paid by rankings after that. You can claim previous experience as well.

No, netpoint is a stand alone software. My company uses it to build summary schedules during interactive planning sessions on the front end of projects. New version can import and export to p6 though.
